    Step 1. Massage Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Purple Toning Shampoo through the hair evenly. Leave on for 1-5 minutes depending on the results desired.

    Step 2. Follow up with Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Purple Toning Conditioner. Distribute evenly through the hair using a comb. Leave on for 1 minute and then rinse thoroughly.

    Yes. If you've got silver hair, the last thing you want is for brassiness to show up, so using a purple conditioner is key to keeping it shimmery and bright. With weekly use, this hero hydrator will give it a glow like no other, so you can maintain that metallic shine between salon visits.
    Using a blue shampoo for blonde and brunette hair works because blue shampoo is made with blue and violet pigments, which bond to the hair, therefore cooling down warm tones, such as orange, and removing brassiness. The same goes for naturally blonde hair: purple shampoo can neutralise yellow tones. The reason for these pairings is in the colour wheel. Since warm tones for brunette hair are normally orange or red, the opposite colour from orange on the colour wheel is blue. For people with blonde hair, the warm tones are usually yellow, and purple is opposite on the colour wheel from yellow. By having a mix of both purple and blue, you can treat a wider variety of brondes and blondes.
    Platinum blonde hair is prone to turning yellow – especially in the sun – which is why you need to treat it with colour correcting products in between salon visits.       Works for tone, but horrible scent

      I received my duo this week and glad they ship it in a bag. The cap on the shampoo arrived cracked and there was purple gel all over both products. About 1/4 of the shampoo bottle had leaked and was wasted. I’ve been using this product for probably a decade. It tones incredibly well, almost too well and will turn your hair purple after a couple washes. They changed the scent a year or two ago and I have no idea why. It often received great reviews specifically on the scent. Now it smells like cough syrup and it’s just horrible. I don’t know how this scent was approved. Like did people actually sit around a board table and smell this and think yes, this is better than what we have and people will like it? Whoever approved it should be fired. So overall: toning =9. Shipping/packaging=3, scent=-1.

      It’s ok

      The shampoo lathers well for a purple shampoo and it smells ok but it didn’t have the desired effect on my hair. I couldn’t notice any difference to using any other purple shampoo as far as toning down the brassiness, and it was a lot more expensive than t(em!
